What types of English course can you do?
Gold Viking offers courses in:
- General English
- Business English
- Exam Preparation (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge Exams - KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE)
What levels can you study online?
The lowest level is Pre-Intermediate (Strong A2). Lower than A2 is too difficult for online lessons.
We go up to Advanced (C2 +) and above.
Online English lessons are not suitable for Beginners and Elementary (A1 and below). For these learners face-to-face is the best method.
Course Length
You can book courses in the following 'bundles':
- 8 hours a month (2 hours a week)
- 12 hours a month (3 hours a week)
- 16 hours a month (4 hours a week)
You can also arrange a long-term agreement if you want to study for 6 months or more.
Times
Gold Viking offers times to suit your busy schedule:
- Mornings: From 7.45am - Breakfast lessons - or later.
- Afternoons and Evenings
Days
- Gold Viking is open for lessons from Mondays to Fridays.
- Saturdays and Sundays Gold Viking is closed.
Books/Materials
- We use English course books for General and/or Business English.
- If you don't want to use a book, we can use articles and content from the internet.
- Many of our higher level students have lessons using internet articles and videos.
- If you are taking IELTS or TOEFL, we can use exam practice books, practice test papers etc.
Timetable and Scheduling
We agree the times and days for your lessons before you start your course.
Payment and Prices
- Payment is by bank transfer before the start of the course each month.
- Course prices do not include your bank transfer fees. You add these.

GENERAL ENGLISH
General English for your studies or travel.
We can study course books from A2 to C2+.
The skill focus can be your choice: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
e.g. If you need speaking the most, we can concentrate on that.
We will also work on the systems of language: Grammar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation.
If you don't like using books, we can use internet articles and videos.
You choose the topics which you like.
BUSINESS ENGLISH
Business English lessons to suit your needs.
Jamieson Hill, MD, has taught CFOs, CMOs, General Managers, Junior Managers, Accountants, IT Specialists, Textile Designers, Engineers, Military staff, Pilots, Editors, TV Directors, Architects and many other people from different industries.
You can choose from Business course books or we can follow topics using internet articles and videos.
You choose the topics for your course.
